Digital Motion Event Services, a growing event tech services company headquartered in Birmingham, AL, is leading the industry in high-quality technical solutions for virtual, hybrid and on-site events.  On November 22, 2021, Digital Motion announced that founder Edward McLain will change positions from CEO to CTO and Brooke Fleming will move from CRO to the CEO position.  This leadership shift allows the company to better capture the mounting momentum they have experienced over the past 18 months as virtual events have been on the rise. It also allows the team to plan for the continued growth of innovative tech products and partnerships and on growing its global client base.

In the past 3 years, under McLain’s lead, Digital Motion has launched a shared presentation platform tool, “The Presenter” by Digital Motion, which simplifies meetings involving multiple speakers. They have also introduced SimplePage Event a customizable one-page virtual event platform solution. In addition to developing new event tech products, McLain lends his expertise to solving problems and creating custom solutions and integrations to meet the needs of Digital Motion’s clients, which has been an integral part of the company’s success. 

The shift to the CTO role will allow McLain to focus entirely on the tech services side of Digital Motion, which will mean expanding their internal development team to work on go-to-market strategies, as well as the implementation and support of these new products. In addition, McLain is tasked with seeking out and developing new and innovative solutions to keep Digital Motion at the forefront of this fast-growing industry. 

Digital Motion, with over a decade of experience with onsite event productions and live streaming, has pioneered the virtual event terrain during the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to help clients with all event types and budgets deliver successful events.  

Fleming, who has managed the Sales and Marketing efforts of the company during the past two years and during its pivot into virtual and hybrid events, will now be overseeing Digital Motion’s overall business strategy, partnerships and growth. “Under the leadership of President and COO Matt Schultz, our Operations Team has been delivering remarkable results, constantly refining our processes, and achieving consistent client satisfaction.
